Born in Hebei province in 1979, Ding is a graphic designer at Ogilvy Beijing. He is fascinated by native Chinese culture and Japanese electric music.

What was the thinking behind your artwork?
To discover what's going on deep in my heart, to understand more and more.

What does your city mean to you?
Terrible air pollution and heavy traffic.
What influence does your heritage have on your work?
Whether I'm in bed or at work, some interesting idea or graphic always appears. I write these down and produce them one day.

 Who/what are the three biggest influences on your work?
Music, sensibility and nature.
How could you improve the art scene in your city?
Just close my eyes.

 Who are your top musicians/bands/DJs?
Aphex Twins, Daft Punk, Kraftwerk, Air, Orbital.

 If you had to do any other job, what would you choose?
Administrator of a wild zoo.
