Question & Answer

How would a friend spend 24 hrs in your city?

Hong Kong is famous for shopping, eating and sightseeing. I suggest they go to The Peak for its beautiful view, and enjoy a nice lunch there at The Peak Restaurant; then off to Central for some high-fashion shopping. The Peninsula Hotel to enjoy an afternoon tea buffet; then off for a wander through the urban jungle: Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok. At night time, they could enjoy a brand-new show called “A Symphony Of Lights”, which celebrates the energy, spirit and diversity of Hong Kong.

What does your city mean to you?

Energy, spirit and diversity.

What are the 3 biggest influences on your work?

Fairytales, tradition, animals.

Have you had any training in the arts?

I have spent nine years studying professional art and design, including ceramics, drawing, design theory, art history, painting, photography, print-making, sculpture and computer graphics — all of which subjects I passed with flying colors.

Which cities would you most like to visit?

Tokyo. Although I often travel to Japan for meetings, exhibitions, sightseeing and shopping, Tokyo has a great mixture of traditional culture and contemporary innovation and I always absorb a lot of fresh ideas from the city.

Name one film everyone should see?

Star Wars

If you had to do any other day job what would you choose?

A make-up artist, perhaps. I like color very much.
