Why Gold?
It is synonymous with wealth, power, longevity, prosperity, and aspiration. It signifies success, affluence, extravagance - the Bling factor, and confidence. It is a champion. Just like Tiger. This liquid gold has won over 50 international awards and medals for taste and quality, and richly deserves its place as a world-acclaimed beer. What is your "Gold" in modern Asia? |

"Gold" is about preciousness and wealth, in the way of expressing the growth, passion and nature of creation as well. The simplicity of graphic forms represents nature’s landscapes and oceans. The richness of the golden colour reflects the glorious era of exploration and passion. The calmness of blue expresses the stability and harmony in our country.

We came up with an emblem that represents "Gold" in the context of success, power, leadership, longevity and good fortune. The general idea of our pieces is to pay homage to the hard-working people of Asia whose aim is for Asia to be successful; we have always been known as people who strive for "gold". Our labours are the greatest resource of my country.

"Gold" It was drawn on an aeroplane while looking out of the window at the sunset over the horizon. Everything was golden, and I felt I could put my hands into the river sunshine over the clouds. I was with my companion, it was our golden sunset.

Since 999.9 is an icon for gold and this grand event is all about "Translating Our Modern Asia", I decided to engrave the first three 9's in Chinese numeral "Jiu" which means "Nine", and ".9" to represent the other part of the world. Rustic finishing with the Tiger signature blue background symbolizes the long history Tiger Beer has.

"Gold" often connotes something that is highly valuable. I began thinking about what is valuable to me, and I started thinking about the phrase “golden times”, which means happy or good times. .

Gold is a royal colour in China; it brings class to whatever it touches. Gold is a representation not only of wealth, but more importantly, it brings about a sense of worth.

Golden hues have always been associated with India's new culture along with the economic boom in this decade. The "golden era" reflects a glorious period where we can see the cultural patterns and dynamic future overlap. Mumbai has gained its own style of culture by mixing various cultures around India in this boom of modernization..

My photographs are "Gold" because they give representation to the Western World’s global economic use of China's power in numbers. China manufactures goods that no one else wants to make and achieves the price points that Western companies are looking for. This resource is "Gold" to corporations trying to keep costs low and profit margins high.

The pair of drawings is based on a huge magnification of an up-close image of beer bubbles rising in a glass of beer and collecting to form a frothy head at the top. A fragment of this image is meticulously drawn within a circle that emphasizes the way we see things – the lens of the eye or camera or microscope; it also refers to the iconic circular logo of Tiger.
